Independent Pensions Research Group
| IPRG
is an informal network of pensions
specialists and lay activists which meets to discuss
issues of common concern, exchange views and information,
and develop ideas. We describe ourselves as
"independent" because we do not share the
dominant assumptions of the "pensions industry"
in policymaking generally, which tend to take an
employers' perspective.
The Group has provided responses to the Government's consultative documents on pensions and representatives have met with Government ministers, in conjunction with our Newcastle-based sister group, NPRG. For those who cannot attend the meetings, full notes of all discussions are taken and circulated to members. We also send out a regular list of recent publications of interest, and a note of recent developments of which people should be aware. |
